Kigali 28th-30th October,2019 : FAWE Rwanda Chapter in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation has concluded Leadership and Career Development Training.
The training in Leadership and career development comes in when the scholars from cohort two who are now at the beginning of tertiary level are struggling for self-identity and self-direction and therefore need support for planning wisely the present and the future in terms of career and leadership.
In his remarks, Theodore Mutabazi, program coordinator, reminded scholars that they have to be girls of excellence and impact.
‘’Leadership is about having sharp mind ; you are living in community at campus and in your homme community, so you have to make impact ; giving back to the community is one of our core values, it is one of our activities at FAWE.
This session was to remind you as FAWE scholars to develop the country from your neighbourhood, at national and international level, we want you to be scholars of excellencenot for our country but for the whole world.’’- He said.
Training helps to inform scholars on career environment and on how setting goals, mission and values, based on personal abilities, background and interests that can help everyone to make strategic decisions in career, educational and life decisions.
The targeted group is the 74 344 scholars from cohort two (in level one) enrolled in UR and INES Ruhengeri who missed the previous session which took place at IPRC Kigali on 8th to 13th September.
