FAWE Rwanda in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation (MCF) in its scholarship program awarded university scholarships to 140 scholars enrolled with the University of Rwanda in the 9 different campuses. 273 scholars had their scholarships renewed.
The ceremony also included signing commitment letters for the academic year 2019/2020. And get the scholars commitment to excel in their academic life in 2019/2020.
The program enables academically bright, but economically disadvantaged girls to access and complete secondary and university education, in high quality institutions and increase their opportunities for better livelihoods.
The award ceremony took place at UR-Remera Campus on November 1st 2019, and the next round for 415 scholars from cohort one, two and three from INES Ruhengeri scheduled on November 16th 2019 at the campus.
