October 6th, 2021, FAWE Rwanda in partnership with Mastercard Foundation conducted a one-day workshop that brought together scholars and peer mentors from the University of Rwanda & INES Ruhengeri with an aim to build their capacities on labor market needs, work ethics, basic life skills, and discipline management.

During this workshop, different motivational speakers had an opportunity to inspire scholars about real-life experiences related to job market needs. They have emphasized essential skills such as professional CV writing, networking, communication & problem-solving skills.

Through an interactive session between scholars and speakers, they have asked questions and expressed aspirations related to real-life experiences. Speakers have also shared professional tips that could build and enhance their employability skills and self-esteem.

On behalf of other scholars, Rachel Kamikazi said that they are committed to using skills learned to positively impact their communities and the country at large through making informed and impactful career choices.

In her closing remarks, FAWE Rwanda National Coordinator, Antonia Mutoro, thanked our partners & Alumni while also called upon scholars to have values and ethics that will help them become women and leaders that the country and their communities need now and in the future.
