FAWE Rwanda has concluded a five days training which aims to turn MCF scholars future business women. Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) training brought together 16 emerging entrepreneurs from different universities across the country whose sixteen projects were selected in partnership with MasterCard Foundation.
In Her remarks, Antonia Mutoro, FAWE Rwanda National coordinator, encouraged young girls to use opportunities that they have.
‘’There is a lot of support and care, and motivation, and inspiration for young women. So, this is all because of the environment in this beautiful country of having our leaders who care for us, so feel proud and use the opportunities that you have.’’
FAWE Rwanda in collaboration with Mastercard Foundation introduced the scholars Entrepreneurship Fund (SEF) with an aim to broaden pathways for scholars and expand their capacity to exercise transformative leadership and giveback.
The First round of competitive submission of scholar’s projects has selected 16 projects and it is expected that on the end of the seminar, participants will be able to develop their own business plans ; and have adequate understanding of starting a business of their dream.
The closing day graced by Antonia Mutoro, FAWE Rwanda national coordinator, Cyril Oboura who represented MasterCard Foundation and Theodore Mutabazi among others.
